Google Philippines
By twentyfive
Google Philippines has been my homepage since the beginning of my internet craze and because I enjoy its amazing features, I’m making this google.ph review again.
After I made series of reviews about Google and its latest Google Earth with matching Google moon, sky and mars that followed Google Desktop and Google Goggles, now I made this hub about our own Google Pilipinas, also known as Google Philippines, and its improving awesome features. I just love my google software and love making this kind of hubs lately. Hoping Google would reward me for this hahahah Seriously, what else to write about than what you love and know about.
Ok so the google.com.ph is so cool that it can be loaded from google English or google Tagalog also known as google in Filipino. We, the people of the Philippines have now the option of setting up our google search engine to be in Filipino, our dear national language. It’s so beneficial for those who are not really so good in English. Search results will appear with the option to translate in Tagalog and Filipino. This amazing feature of Google Philippines is a great help for students and teachers for the Filipino subjects.
Google Philippines Logo - Everyone would notice Google homepage changes its logo every significant day worldwide. And Google Pilipinas is not exempted. For your information Pinoy googler, our Google logos appear every Independence Day which is every June 12. I’ve uploaded the latest two from last year and this year, 2010. Google doodles are created to bring fun and enjoyable way of searching. These artistic logos are a cool way to remember special events of day to day.
Photos from the right are samples of google logos commemorating the Philippine Independence.
Google Philippines
English - I still use this default in my homepage and in my searching
escapade. In fairness to Google Filipino, it’s so cool especially to students
but I’m not one anymore. I search everything in English so no need for me. If you want your google Philippines homepage to be in English by default, you can do so.
Google Philippines Tagalog / Filipino - You can use your google homepage in Filipino by default, too. Ask me in case you don't know. When I first saw this new feature, I found it so weird. LOL Ok, I still do find it weird. I’m just comfy with English. By the way, I tried using google Filipino in one of my hubs here and translated it to Filipino, some phrases work just fine some turned out to be so irrelevant. Filipino is so complex that’s why. There’s a bare chance of having a perfect translation. If you use a dictionary, translating English to Filipino or vice versa will always be un-perfect. If you have a little translation issues, maybe I could help ;) Knowing Google, soon this translate feature who knows could be so perfect. You know, nothing is impossible to Google.
Gmail – an excellent way to have an email address from Google. It’s less spam, unlimited email space and storage, okay for me, it’s almost unlimited ;) Gmail is an easy access like mobile, blogger account and more. Love its unique style and efficient way of synchronizing everything inside my email.
Google Philippines News – who needs a newspaper to read the daily news or the latest events in the Philippines. Everyone can enjoy this in the google homepage. I could read every single update from my google mobile and know everything in my fingertips for free. And it’s not only local news and news from the Southeast Asia, the whole world news is there in my google news. How amazing and convenient way to be updated. :)
Google Scholar – these google feature is a great tool for everyone who want to have a broad search of relevant works across the world of scholarly literature.
Google Calendar – this is a must for me for my everyday notes, tasks, reminders, hubs, special events and more. So cool to view my calendar in my phone and in my desktop.
Google Philippines Map – with the google map feature, you can find any location in the Philippines or worldwide, be it a store, famous landmark, terrain or anything anywhere. Maps are so useful and google maps are the greatest inventions ever.
Google Philippines Office – wondering if there’s a google office in the Philippines? In the future for sure, as of now, unfortunately there’s no google office in here yet. The closest google office from the Philippines is in Taiwan and Singapore. Just a plane away by the way. ;)
Google Philippines Careers, Job and Job Opening – do you dream to work at google? Since there’s no google office yet in the Philippines, you can still be employed in your dream google job by applying to the latest jobs and job openings at the closest google office from the Philippines.
Google Philippines Time – of course you can set up Philippine time using your google desktop. You have the option to display the google clock widget in your sidebar or simply in your taskbar.
Google Philippines Translate – google translate is now available to translate English words to Filipino or vice versa, or translate other language into Filipino. It’s cute and not bad really..
There is so much more about using google Philippines, it also covers features like blogs, updates, photos, documents, reader, groups, books and many more. Google Philippines is so cute in Filipino version. Lovely lovely lovely! If you enjoy using it, you surely will enjoy these other software from Google. The latest google desktop, google chrome, google goggles and google earth.
Do you use the Google Homepage?
See results without votingGoogle Desktop - I just love this insanely. I so enjoy using the Google Desktop. It’s seriously a shortcut to everything. Searching my files from my own computer and searching the net at the same time without opening a web browser. I call this searching your computer the google way. ;) You gotta love this because I do. Its google gadgets can notify you lots of things such as Facebook updates, Twitter, Gmail and many more without opening your web browser. Read its review, from my hub about google desktop.
Google Chrome - Come on, you know how fast is it! :) It is so available to download for free in case you’re still so left behind. Google chrome is invading the web browsers.
Google Earth – the latest software of Google Earth has now Google Moon, Google Sky, Ocean and Google Mars. Now you can navigate and explore almost where you wanna be. It’s so free to download you guys :)
Google Goggles – have you heard about it? It’s a way of searching by taking a shot of an image. From the picture, google will give you your search results.
