Most Hated Credit Cards

Most hated credit cards...Credit cards are like heaven sent especially during emergencies. You definitely need lifelines when you run out of cash. But these gorgeous precious plastics or titanium or whatever, often times give us headaches, too. When the interest rate hikes double or triple or quadruple, our temper rises higher. When the bills arrive so late, you’ll feel like “it’s their intention to send the bills too late so you’ll pay late charges.” And when their freaking customer service people always call you to keep you posted or offer you never-ending promos. Now, tell me if it’s not so annoying. And oh, this is more annoying…when you badly need them to ask for assistance, you have to wait for freaking forever before an agent entertains you.

And if you’re someone who always pays on time, have a very clean slate of paying bills every now and then; it’s a big tantrum to receive un-updated statements of monthly debts. That’s worse but never happened with me yet thank goodness. But I’ve seen some friends complain about weird posting of bill statements. I laugh about it.

So if you experience the same as mentioned above, you definitely have the worst credit card.

Regardless of the headaches, one must choose the right credit card according to his options, credit standing, lifestyle, bank relationship, comfort and prestige. Agents may explain all the tempting incentives and generous rewards so don’t’ forget to ask all fees charged in having the card. And always remember, holding a credit card means holding a big responsibility, too. You are responsible to its loss, to its use, rewards, everything attached to it including reconciling all your expenditures.

Below are the top five cards worth avoiding according to Forbes

American Dream Card – The more you spend, the more you earn entries from everyday shopping. There will be huge cash jackpots every month. The cash advance fee is a relatively high 4%.

New Millennium - This is a secured platinum Visa or Mastercard. The annual fee of $59 is higher than the typical $20 to $40 for a secured card; there is a $70 processing fee, and a $12.95 charge for co-signers. And there's a 19.5% interest rate with no grace period.

First Premier - This gold Mastercard is unsecured with amazing fees: $29 for account setup, $95 for a "program fee," $48 for the annual fee, $84 annual for the monthly servicing fee, and $20 for each additional card. That adds up to $256 annually. And get this: The typical maximum credit line on the account is $300.

Total Visa - Total fees to acquire this card and use it are $200, while the initial credit limit offered is $250, leaving a measly $50 to spend. The rate is 19.92%.

Marathon Platinum Reward Card - The maximum rebate is $270, which means the cardholder would have to spend $5,400 in one year at Marathon gas stations.

Such a great idea for a Hub... I'm surprised that it's not more popular! This is a great tool for people researching credit cards. It was easy to read and understand. Thanks.
