PLDT Telpad Plans and Promos
You ask how much is the new pldt telpad? Can we subscribe monthly? The PLDT Telpad plans and promos are listed below. I didn’t list the plans and subscription to the Tablet as I’m talking about the Telpad here. Take note, you can just buy the tablet unit and choose a plan to match with it than having the telpad which has both the landline and the tablet itself. In short, PLDT offers separate plans to the tablet and the Telpad. The following plans and promos for pldt Telpad includes unlimited local calls, the features I listed from the previous topics and unlimited internet. Just choose the speed you fancy.

P 4,100 / month – 5.5 mbps
**Notes:
The plans are payable up to 24 months (2 years) and can be renewed or upgrade after that period.

Tell me bout it, I wanna know too :) I love your 007 gadgets.. um can you give me one pleaze? Hehe Mwah! Thanks Prof. A!
I know there are no current unlimited data plans on smartphones in the U.S. but I bet you do.;)
(I think for $99 a month you can get 500 megabits before throttling)
phones here are kinda expensive but plans are cheaper. oh that's funny Bryan! :)
There are unlimited data bundles in the UK, on some providers. This is a fun gadget, and I SSSSSOooooooo want one for Christmas! Hah! Great Hub, Fehl! :D
You deserve an Ipad 3 :) I want one for Christmas, too. Santa...Please! LOL
Thanks for this great hub with lots of good information, your review was awesome !
Oh wow, thanks for the awesome comment about this PLDT Telpad :)
check out the karaoke function on the gingerbread telpad. haha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy5J8PAsQvM
Aw that's cool. Amazing that the new PLDT Telpad in Gingerbread is oozing with awesome apps just like this music application. Pinoy loves music. Thanks for sharing.
Got my unit last Sat. Oct 01, 2011. The unit's SIM Card slot is disable or a rubber thing was placed inside the sim card slot. We cant insert a sim on it, I was told by a call center person that we can insert a sim card, but unfortunately we cant... This was one of my consideration that i agreed or applied for it... I wish they can / will enable the units sim card slot for us to use the units as a cellphone too just like other tabs in the market now.
Are you using the s7 slim or the AD-1000A? Cellphone accessibility is not listed on the features. PLDT didn't specify it coz it's PLDT exclusive. Since the gadget is fresh in their menu, I'm sure they'd allow the sim availability especially if a competitor appeared in the market.
Will telpad download the apps i want
the mirror of my telpad is broken,,and so grateful that the LCD was not damaged...is anybody here will fix it???
@Bong hi. yeah you can download any app you want from the Android market. Some are free, some are paid.
@Maricris hello. The PLDT Telpad has 2 year-warranty when you bought it. Repairs after the warranty period are charged to the subscribers but some repairs are charged to PLDT within the warranty time if teh damage was from act of nature or fire. Just go to PLDT Business Office and bring your Telpad including your receipt, valid IDs and they will fix it. I hope you wont be charged for this :)
Amazing! And I am interested. I just wanna ask if I can use webcam while chatting? And also can I use the skype for videocall? Pls answere thanks!
@twentyfive
pldt is letting me choose whether to get S7 or AD-1000A. The S7 has much longer battery power (180 hrs vs 70 hrs standby) and bigger internal memory (8gb vs 2gb). What can gingerbread do that froyo cant? Thanks for any info.
For people who might be interested, I just talked to the pldt csr earlier today about the cost implications for getting a telpad plan.
Accdg to them, one must have an existing dsl & landline plan to avail of the telpad plan. And therein lies the catch. When they first called me, I was given the impression the telpad (s7 or ad1000a) cost only P5,500. After clarification, it turns out that aside from the telpad tablet cost (p5,500), an additional P500/month will be charged on top of your existing bill. This additional charge will supposed boost your speed by 0.5 mbps.
The problem is the P500/month charge will run for 24 months, totalling P12,000. Add to that the unit cost of P5,500 and its a whopping P17,500 that you're effectively be shelling out for the telpad unit.
The current market price of an S7 is around P10,000.
Is the speed boost of 0.5 mbps worth the additional you have to pay? Think on this first before committing to the 2 year lock-in period.
@Meldy hi. Thank you for dropping by. No need to use webcam as the tablet has front camera. Yes, you can use Skype and download it for free to video chat anytime. You can also video chat using other chat platforms like Facebook.. Thank you.
@Crystal. If you ask me what to choose, I’d still choose the S7 as it’s cheaper and almost the same except that of OS. Gingerbread is faster than Froyo and meets the latest apps requirements. Actually, there’s now a new OS released by Android, it’s called Ice Cream Sandwich and it’s still so fresh so there are no gadgets yet rolled out in the market that run in the Android Ice Cream Sandwich except Samsung Galaxy Nexus. So it’s really not a big deal if I could have the S7 Telpad for I can download the apps I want anyway and chat, and video call. As to games and other apps, yeah the latest OS is still the best. S7 is good, Gingerbread is better, ipad 2 is the best. Hehehe But then that’s another story. If you’re into PLDT, S7 is my choice. But if you’re into choosing the best tablet, ipad 2 is the best if you ask me especially it’s not so heavy in the pocket for a zero percent installment plan. :)
Seriously, with that 24 month lock-in period with P500 plus P10,000 tablet, I’d rather buy an Apple ipad under a postpaid plan in Smart. Hehehe If I need a landline, do I really need a landline? hehehe
The speed boost of 0.5 is worth 500? No, I cant feel the thing. I doesn't even sound too good to be true. hehehe I won't pay 500 for that. Maybe 1mbps I reckon.. :)
not satisfied with my PLDT telpad, want to return mechandise, how to go with it? Please advise.
If you are not under their contract I think you can appeal to return it by calling their customer's support. Tell them why you're not satisfied. Make sure you list all your reasons before calling.
I just received a phone call from PLDT. They are offering the froyo version for 1,845 a month to upgrade my 768 DSL to 1.5Mb. Tablet is still 5,500 but can be paid in 12 or 24 months.
To those who already have the unit, does the docking station/phone have its own keypad? i know it should but i just want to make sure. thanks!
ahmmft magakno ibabayad po nmen dyn sa PLDT if when we're going to business na Internetshop magkano po lhat. pati po ba ung conncetor nung mga computer sainyo po nmen kukunin pls reply po tnx
@Allan amazing how PLDT thinks of some more tempting offers :) ipad 3 is out. What do you think? hehe
The phone has its own keypad of course :) Thanks for dropping by.
@ Cyril hi. There is another offer and promo for that. I think it's so affordable and really practical. Inquire at PLDT about it. Thank you. :)
hi everyone i plan to avail of the upgrade to PLDT TELPAD 1849 promo with FREE myphone & FREE call all sim ( promo is only up to march 31, 2012 only) Im currently at plan 990 only + 250 PLDT wireless sim with a total MSFee of 1240.00. I feel there is actually a need for me to upgrade the speed boost at home from 384kbps to at least 1 or 1.5mbps because when all the family members are at home, in use are the following 1 desktop ( browsing & online gaming) + 2 laptops + 1 IPAD2(browsing & streaming). Anyway based on my observation the TELPAD PLAN 1849 is broken down into Plan 999 + 600 ( landline) + 250 wireless landline so it has a total of 1849. Even without the TELPAD unit, anybody is opted to pay the same Monthly service fee if you would want to upgrade the speed. the TELPAD Unit which is only at 5500 is just like buying an ordinary cell phone with some advanced features which is already very affordable isn't it? This is just my opinion. thanks !
Hi Senneden :) Yes, if anyone is already a PLDT user, this offer might be cool for him. Are you enjoying it now? Thank you so much for sharing some helpful stuff here. God bless.
no. Just came from PLDT business office today i currently put my application for telPAD on hold because i was not satisfied with the telpad OS currently installed on the unit ( HUAWEI). I thought it was already the android 2.3 gingerbread which is the most recommended version to date. Imagine they are giving me only the android 2.1 eclair OS version which is less reliable. I asked the customer service agent if i can have the OS upgraded by them, and she told me that that they cannot replace the OS installed because its the factory settings. Eclair 2.1 is already an old version right ???
Yes Eclair is so old OS of Android. Gingerbread came last year and this year, the latest Android OS for tablets is Ice Cream Sandwich. If I were you, I'd buy ipad 3 nalang. So fast, clear, reliable, and it's Apple for Pete's sake hehehe
our telpad does not open even i charged it
Just reboot it and see how it goes. Hope it powers up again.
