Philippine Air Force Ranks
74Recently, I’ve written a hub about the Philippine Air Force, also known as PAF. Now I’m here to hub about the Philippine air force ranks.
Before I proceed to the air force ranks and insignia, I’d like to give some important details about the PAF and its organization. The Philippine Air Force is a military unit under the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The AFP is composed of 3 branches and PAF is just one of them. The other two are the Philippine Army and the Philippine Navy. Under the Philippine Constitution, the highest power in the Armed Forces of the Philippines is vested to the President, who acts as its commander in chief. All of its branches (Phil Air Force, Phil. Army, Phil. Navy) are part of the Department of National Defense, which is headed by the Secretary of National Defense. The 3 military units are unified under a Chief of Staff who normally holds the rank of General/Admiral. He is assisted by a Vice Chief of Staff (Lieutenant General/Vice Admiral). Each branch is headed by a Commanding General (Lieutenant General). And so our rank begins…

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who is the new chief of the Philippine Airforce?
At present, the chief of the Phil. Air Force is Lt. Gen. Oscar H. Rabena.
Who is the new chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines?
At present, he’s Gen. Eduardo SL Oban Jr.
How much is the salary of a general in the Philippine air force?
Hmm very interesting question. Well, the commander in chief of the armed forces, who is the president of the Philippines, receives gross monthly income of around 65,000 pesos, so obviously, the wage of a general in the air force amounts closer to that of the president. I have no exact amount but one thing is for sure, general officers and officers receive generous compensation and benefits because they’re attached with the positions and ranks.

This ranks very high with me. There are lots of officer classes in the military. The monthly salary for the chief of the armed forces is equivalent to £927 per month. OMG, if that's after tax, he's doing pretty good. I did a calculation. 70 pesos to the pound, apparently.
You are a mine of information, Fehl. You ought to have more comments in your hubs, these are so well researched. You put a lot of effort into these hubs, they have plenty of information in them. Thank you for the great writing and for expanding my knowledge of the military. I feel read to pick up a rifle and kick some butt already. LOL.

menopause na ang mga jet fighter ng pinas and its men..hehe
nice breakdown of ranks. :) currently, my brother is an airman first class and my dad's a first lieutenant. my dad had his retirement last 2008 as a chief master sergeant or perhaps a master sergeant (i cant remember his last position exactly) and after that he became first lieutenant but retired. maybe all enlisted personnels may become first lieutenants when they reach their compulsory retirement age.. :)
i would like to ask if how much the salary of the pilot in the philippine air force?
