Members of the SSS (Social Security System) in the Philippines can now check their membership information, status and updates through the SSS Online Inquiry System in the official website of the company. Everyone doesn’t need to go to any SSS office just to see and check their contributions or loan applications. SSS has improved their online inquiry to serve its members better and faster. Just log in and you can view your social security records conveniently. The recent great news is that we can now check our membership contributions, loan balance and applications via text. Yup, yup, so easy. Read on.
What are the features of the SSS Online Inquiry? The system was developed to serve all members for easy access of their membership and social security records, update their profile anytime, view status, contributions, and transactions. I have summed up the features below:
Update SSS Profile – you can update or change your latest address, contact number and email address. You can change password, too.
View Member’s Records – includes SSS number, date of birth, complete name, date of coverage, latest employer, employment history, actual premiums and contribution, benefits, premium payments, total number of contributions, total amount, loan status, eligibility to loans, loan availed status or loan application status, salary loan application, maternity notification, and submission of contribution collection list (H3).
How to check SSS Contributions, Loan Balance and Applications Online
How to use the SSS online Inquiry? If you wanna check your personal SSS records online including your contributions, loan balance, applications, benefits and more, you are required to register online and be approved. It’s easy and takes less than a minute. All you need to do is follow the steps and you’re in.
Step 1 Go to SSS Online Registration on this link.
Step 2 A window will appear. Tick the MEMBER for the type of user and Click SUBMIT. (I recommend using Member than Employer so you have the control and access of your online SSS member’s info and records forever. Letting your employer register for you will cause complications in the future when you changed your company.
Step 3 Supply the accurate info and fill in the boxes. The requirements are your SS number, first name, last name, middle name, date of birth, and email address. Double check the data you have typed and enter the Captcha.
***Please be careful in typing your info. SS Number is composed of 10 digits only. Type it with no space or dash. Check your info and just click the submit button once you are hundred percent sure your details are correct. It is recommended your email address is on yahoo. If not, read the notes in red.
Step 4 Wait until the system display a message saying that an email has been sent to your email address. You have to open that email and go over the link they have sent you to continue your registration. Usually, SSS will email you after 2 or 3 days. Be patient and always check your email inbox.
Step 5 Open the link that SSS gave you in its email message. Then supply the data needed such as your:
- Mother’s maiden name
- Address
- Contact Number
- Preferred User ID (between 8-20 alphanumeric characters)
- Savings account number / Check number (this is for retired pensioners)
- SS Number (10-digit with no space or dash)
- ***SBR No./OTC (For Self-employed, Voluntary member, OFW, Househelper, and Non-working spouse)
-If mode of payment is OTC or over-the-counter at SSS branch, type the 8-digit following the T# (eg: T#15000075
-if you are paying at the bank, type the 6-digit SBR No. (Special Bank Receipt No.)
-If you’re paying through SM Bayad Center, Remittance Center or I-Remit, Western Union, type the 6-digit OTC Validation Number
-If you’re paying SSS by ADA (Auto-debit Arrangement) type 6 zeros (000000) in the SBR No./OTC box
Step 6 Tick the box to accept and agree to the Terms and Conditions
Step 7 Wait for the SSS confirmation link sent on your email address. Once your registration was successful, you can then freely inquire online thru the SSS Online Inquiry via My.SSS.
After you have completed the Phase 2 in the registration, a message from SSS will appear like this below:

SSS Text Inquiry
SSS text inquiry also known as Text SSS is now available to everyone. Now, we can get updates and information from our SSS contribution records, loan application status and loan balance. How to inquire your SSS via text? Follow the simple steps:
Step 1. Register. There are 2 ways. Just do only one anyway.
Text the following to 2910:
SSS REG (first name) (middle initial with period) (last name) / (birthdate MMDDYY) / (your SSS Number) and send to 2910
Example: SSS REG John A. Lopez/108768/357889665
OR
Text the following to 2600:
SSS REG (SSS Number) (date of birth mm/dd/yy (first name) (last name) and Send to 2600
Example: SSS REG 357889665 08/16/85 John Lopez
Upon successful registration, you will receive a text message informing you with your unique system-generated PIN code which is required to all SMS transactions and services. It’s important you know this PIN code.
Step 2: How to check SSS contribution by texting? And how much will it cost? It only costs P2.50 per text if you’re using Globe and P2.00 for Smart and Sun Cellular subscribers. To check your social security contributions, loan application status and loan balance, you can do this in 2 ways, too.

Preference ID is your Username (example PrettyGirl25) Preference Password, obviously is gonna be your password. These are what you need every time you sign in / log in on your SSS online account. So you must remember them and keep them to your self. Privacy is a must online. God bless you, too. :)

Just type your preferred username of your choice and password then a successful confirmation will be shown to you. Then pwede ka ng mag-check anytime sa SSS online inquiry. Just go over the "Member Info" tab and choose Actual Premiums. Then you'll see your contributions by year and months. You need to go along. All the tabs are there. Thanks! :)

How can I get the sss number of my deceased father and to claim his lump sum benefits, I am the legitimate daughter and my mother married to my father but he have other family and now that family will file his funeral and lump sum benefits,Did I have a rights to hold this benefits and also I have a document that prove that Iam The legitimate child of my father.Please answer this as soon as possible i need my fathers sss number to verify this case.
I suggest you go to the SSS office and file for the benefits. Bring valid IDs, your birth certificate and your father's documents. Then the officers will tell you what benefits you will get. I'm sure you'll get funeral or you may qualify to receive lumpsum amount or pension. If your dad married another woman and had another family before he died, the benefits will go to the ones listed as his beneficiaries. In that case, you would only know by going to the SSS office and check his records.

@Mary-did the system tell you an email was sent? If not, then your registration was not successful. You have to repeat the steps again. Please do it carefully and don't be in a hurry.

@antonio-SSS number is a must. You can receive your pension too if you don't have SSS ID but I suggest you get one since it's really an important ID. You're qualified at pension if you have contributed at least 10 years or 120 months of premiums.

Yes, bring your NSO authenticated birth certificate with photocopy to your SSS office and make an update. They will adjust it for you.

@Melanie-SSS requires us to have continuous contributions from at least the last 6 months to avail of a loan.
@Ermalyn and Lush-check your junk or spam folder to see if they sent you a confirmation link.
@Lorelei-just contact the SSS online support on how to access your account again. And please remember your password next time. Keep them private.
@Maryann-just contact SSS directly and ask them when will the new ID be released. In the branch where I went, a lot of IDs have not also been released yet for a long time.

You are entitled to benefits when you are contributing continuous 6 months of premiums or more. It depends on the benefit kasi. If your dad has contributed 120 months, he's entitled to pension..I suggest, he'll continue his contributions sayang naman kasi if he stopped. twentyfive, instructions were followed to the lat step. After putting in all the information on the required fields, a generated email was sent to me to proceed with the 2nd part of registration. That is when the problem began. After finishing the form it just loops back at the beginning asking me to fill up the form again. I tried it so many times already that I lost count. I tried to register again but a link was not sent for me for the 2nd part of the registration. I thought that this e-services will be give me much convinience since I won't have to wait on line. This is really giving a headache that waiting in line sounds very appealing. Unless of course you will be able to be of an assistance.

My problem was, I already registered. However, the email used back then was my company email. Then for some reason, the Administrator blocked it. Hence, I had no idea what my username or password is. How can I re-register to SSS Online? Because I have already left my previous company 2 years ago. Also, I tried texting however, 2910 replied to me "invalid keyword", while 2600 did not reply at all. @jessa hi. Yes, you can continue your contribution. It’s actually practical to continue kasi saying naman ang benefits in the future or any unexpected circumstance. Since your last payment was on June, you can’t resume the payment anymore as it’s too late na. Just resume paying for December 2011 and the rest.. Thank you.

@Aireen hello. You can only have access to your SSS online account through your email. So it’s important your email is yours and secured. Since it was your old company who registered on your behalf, the solution for this would be to ask them the email and your username and password. The best solution still if you want sole control over your SSS online account is to go to SSS office directly and deactivate your online account. And then make another one again after old account is completely deleted on their system. Thank you.

@Hana hi. Check the status of your loan if it was approved and released.
@Shane hello. You need to file for death claims and ask SSS if you are entitled for a pension. The beneficiaries of the deceased can receive pension benefits if the deceased SSS member is entitled to it. Go to the SSS office brings documents such as your valid IDs, the deceased member’s SSS ID or passbook for pension, his/her death certificate. Then they will instruct you what to do and asses you if you are qualified for pension. One thing is for sure, you are entitled for funeral benefits which is 20,000 in the moment.

@Eilyn hi. I’ve never tried the text inquiry as I want to look over the whole page of info. The online inquiry is better for me. We can only register once. Try to remember your username and password as they are important. Always list them in a notebook. Check your email and look for the SSS details.. I hope it fixes soon. :)

@Pinky hello there. That’s a very tough problem since you have forgotten even the email address you used before. The best thing to do is go to the SSS and ask them to retrieve it for you. I hope it will be fixed even if they really need your email add.
@Glyz hi. In registering, you must do it carefully and surely. If you have entered details and the system loaded, some info has been fed already. So check your email’s inbox. But if you have forgotten your email, that’s a really big problem. Since the online inquiry is so new, I’m not sure if SSS will reset it for you. But try visiting their office and ask them personally. Good luck.

@Mark hi there. Once you logged in to your “My SSS” you can see your profile, your present employer, your contributions before up to the present. Register first before you log in. Be careful in registering as others fail. Thank you.
@Amabelle. Hello there. The only way to retrieve your SSS number is by going to the SSS office an dbring some valid IDs with you. Tell them you want to inquire about your SSS records and that you can’t remember your sss number anymore. They will gladly help and assist you. :)

@Job - you must log in, not register.
@Nel - you can get a copy from your employer. They maintain R3 file for that and you can save it on USB or print it. R3 system is the employer's maintenance file. SSS updates the content and updates from the R3 whenever premiums are paid and remitted.

@Justin hello. No need to input employer ID for individual users. I suggest you register as individual in the SSS online inquiry so you avoid log in failures in the future like when you changed employer..When you changed employer kasi, you can’t access it because your employer or admin was the one who used their email address in registering which you had no access since the beginning. The system is actually simple. I registered once, and it was successful.

hi twentyfive, pls help. My mom forgot what she used to sign up for sss, but still remembers her username. when she went to the forgot username/password screen, the site gave her a screen to put in her username or email address. bec. she forgot her email address, she entered her username. the thing here is that after entering her username the next screen says that a password reset have been made and a message was sent to her email address. @RagDoll Her email address is quite important to be able to access it again. She can't register again because the system will reject it as her SSS number has already been registered. You can try going to the SSS office and reset her account. Before you go, make another email account and remember it. Also the password and username you will use. I hope they could fix it.

hi ask ko lang if gaano kabilis mo machecheck sa sss online kung appoved maternity claim mo. its says kasi sa claim status flag no claim but when i check under the button of maternity benefits walang nakalagay regarding the maternity claim that i filed. by the way late ko pala nasubmit mat 1 and mat2 due to early miscarriage. its been a week since i submitted it sa employer ko and they advised me to follow up after a week. does it mean my claim was denied? pls help. thanks

@Shirley If there’s a discrepancy about your employment history, the best thing to do is go to the SSS office and bring your employment records such as Year of Service, your SSS number, your valid IDs, and SSS contribution receipts for that exact time you’re employed with your real employer to prove the irregularity they have filed. @Me You can check it via Online Inquiry if your employer is registered with the SSS online inquiry too. Your employer is responsible to remind you about the status of the claim. SSS is only responding from applications. Better ask your employer first about it especially it was long holiday last week.

@Ryan and Srr3527 you can only retrieve anything by remembering the email address you have used in registering for "My SSS" online. The only solution to that is to ask the assistance of an IT personnel in the SSS office

@Geraldine you can get your SSS number by contacting your employer. Another way is by going to the SSS and bringing 2 valid IDs and asking about it. It’ s so important you keep it and take care of it.

FYI - When you received the link from the email, it will ask your current member status (employed, voluntary, household, etc) you need to check/select the one applicable to u then IT WILL ASK FOR THE LATEST EMPLOYER ID or OFFICIAL RECEIPT NO. even if you register as a member. Without choosing one it will not register you at all.
I have done this as I was trying to register mine and I cannot proceed. I was laid-off from work 5 yrs ago and the company I work before already closed. I am currently out of the country and would like to continue my contributions as voluntary member. When I got the link they ask for latest member status so I choose voluntary but they ask for latest OR no. of payment & since I don't know I tried to skip but it says "ff info is needed" then I tried to put employed but still the same error was encountered. How would I proceed with this error. Thanks.
@Lina yeah I apologize with that as when I registered mine, I didn't put any receipt number. Now that SSS requires a Phase 2 in the registration, yes it needs other data such as that. I voluntarily paid my SSS contributions because my employer didn't pay it. When I asked my employer to pay it, they said that if I can provide a proof that I paid it then they can reimburse it if "they want". I worked with the company for 9 months but they only pay paid my contributions for the last 2 months that I worked with them. Can I still file a complaint in SSS to let them pay for those months that they didn't pay my contribution even if I paid for those months voluntarily?
Hi. You better asked for payslip copies or check the payroll from the date you were employed up to the day you stopped working. If you saw some SSS deductions, then you must expect you have SSS contributions. Then ask a record of your paid premiums from the SSS office and compare the data from your employer. You can only file a complain if you proved you were deducted in the payslips..
I have all the copies of all my payslips. However, they didn't deduct from me any single amount although I wanted to. So, I was not reported as an employee. Can I file a complaint with SSS on my previous employer even though I didn't have any deductions?

@Hellopo Since they didn’t deduct anything from your salary, you cannot complain.. But you can report the company if it doesn’t comply with SSS. Sounds like the company was a private and a irregular unstable one.

@Cathy I think there’s no need now to renew active status to old age pensioners because NSO is linked to them now to report if someone is dead. If the pensioner died, the beneficiaries are required to report to SSS and claim for pension if they are qualified. In case the pension was still ongoing even if the member died, SSS will adjust the amount when the beneficiaries reported to the SSS and settled their claim and benefits.

Hello :) If you lost your SSS ID card, you can get one again by submitting an application form for Social Security Card together with 1 valid ID, and some supporting documents like Birth Certificate, GSIS eCard, company ID, NBI Clearance, TOR, Postal ID, School ID, Marriage Contract etc.. Plus Affidavit of Loss. Submit these to the SSS and pay the required fee to SSS. They will tell you how to get your new SSS ID card then.

@Norman you can know your actual contributions once you register for the SSS online inquiry system. Just follow the instructions in the article and you will have access to your SSS account and records anytime without going to the SSS office. How cool right?

@Yeng I suggest you must pay your contributions to see an active status online. There’s no point in checking your contributions online if you are not paying naman.
@Patricia you must ask your employer for that, only them knows so the system will display your SSS contributions and prove that your employer is really reporting them to SSS. If you’re not working anymore, continue your active status by changing from employed to voluntary member. You will then know your receipt number once you paid and continued your contributions.

Ang problema ko po, hindi pala nabago ng kumpanya ko ngayon ang status ko. Ilang beses po akong nadeny sa online application dahil wala daw akong date of coverage. Pinalakad ko po sa kumpanya ang aplikasyon para ayusin ito - pero tatlong linggo na pong walang tugon ang SSS. Ano po ang mainam kong gawin?

@Volt the best thing to do is ask your company copies of your payroll or records that show the dates of your contributions and remittance to SSS together with the receipts and go to the SSS servicing branch you are in. Update your status yourself and don’t depend on your company since nothing was happening. That way, you will know once and for all what’s going on. SSS will help you to update the records as long as you show receipts and proofs of your contributions. Plus they will scold your employer (joke)
@Lily it is so important to get a SSS number. It’s gonna be your ID being a member of the SSS. It is for life and you can only have one so you must keep it. You can get SSS Number by downloading the SSS E1 form and bring the requirements listed in the related article about getting SSS Number in the article above.
@Megster You know how it is in the Philippines. Medyo may kabagalan. Funeral claims are usually fast to get. In a week or two usually. Since yours is a month now, that is so strange. Maybe you need to follow up personally to SSS and ask what’s taking it so long..

@Jae if you are temporary, you must be active. Make sure you have paid continuous contributions and make sure they are reported and have been entered in the SSS database. If you are employed, your employer must be submitting R3 file to SSS every time they remit otherwise your contributions won’t be entered and reported in the system. If you’re a voluntary member, you still need to submit your receipt and R file to report your payment and contributions monthly or quarterly.

@Ress You have to wait for the email from SSS if your registration was successful. They will confirm your username and validate your success. Usually it’s after 2 to 3 days.
@HXC Employer ID is the SSS ID of your employer.
@Charmaine you must go to the SSS office where your mom’s contributions are being reported and avail of the benefits. Do it as soon as possible coz it’s been 2 years..
@Meann Temporary means either you are not active or has not paying your contributions anymore.
@Mckoy You can retrieve your SSS number either through your employer or by going to the SSS. It is also listed on the E1 form you have submitted to the SSS upon your registration. I hope you kept a copy of your E1.

pa help naman po mga sir/mam,, my problem is before po for example: Reyes yung gamit kong surname nung bata pa aq hanggang nag 20 years old po then nalaman ko po na ang real biologial parent ko po pla Surname is Mercado, may mga contribution na po aq sa REYES for 2 years , ang gamit kong Surname na ngaun until now po is MERCADO na and same s.s.s number lang po yung gamit ko sa REYES and MERCADO, nagpunta na po aq sa SSS branch with my supporting documents na nagpapatunay na REYES and MERCADO surname are just referrering to me 1 person., pero yung SSS hindi pa din nila po na-uupdate yung SURNAME ko kc nag check na aq sa Online SSS website..

hi, nag apply ako ng salary loan through the online website, tas ung status nya is check generated is it already approved? ang pano ko ma claim ung loan, ipapadala ba ung check sa employer ko or i can just pick it up sa sss office. thanks
